Each terminal supports myPORT – Schindler’s breakthrough mobile solution – giving tenants and building owners the flexibility to manage powerful digital features from a smartphone or tablet.
Access control and more at a building’s main entrance or parking garage. Using the terminal’s digital directory, visitors without invitations (e.g., package delivery) can request access via voice and video calls sent directly to tenants. Invited guests can present digital access credentials in the form of a downloaded code at the terminal for authentication and access. Using either an access card or mobile device, PORT 4 Visitor provides tenants secure authentication and access to the building. The entrance is unlocked and a lift assigned, providing the most efficient path to the tenant’s location.
PORT 4 Home is a state-of-the-art terminal providing all the benefits of a digital intercom system plus boundary-breaking integration of visitor management features, video intercom, lift dispatch and more. PORT 4 Home connects tenants and visitors via video intercom, offers a menu of digital features, and combines with PORT Doorbell to create an integrated access control system for applications in residential or commercial settings.
At apartment or office doors, PORT Doorbell functions as a doorbell (connected to a tenant’s PORT 4 Home terminal or myPORT App) or as a card reader. Tenants present an RFID card to the terminal or use the myPORT App to gain access. Visitors using the doorbell function on the touch screen can be granted access by the tenant via their PORT 4 or myPORT. If a video image of the visitor is desired, this can be provided via the optional built-in camera.
In recognition of the wide variety of security requirements in parking garages around the world, PORT Parking represents a highly configurable system where entrance and exit of vehicles can be via a number of security credentials. From smartphone to RFID card to number plate recognition there are configurations available. Once entry and parking has taken place, access to the main building and lift can all be designed to be as convenient as possible using PORT Access components.
For commercial buildings, PORT Technology provides a solution that elegantly combines speed gate security and transit intelligence. Tenants presenting access cards at speed gates are granted access and assigned to a lift travelling to a desired floor.
